the mark of the beast & buying & selling is all allegory, non of it is literal, much of the bible & I'd say everything in Revelations is tongue in cheek,

two different verses saying the same thing,

they say there are men using the bible as a
 template for their designs to rule the earth,
they may be trying to do things thought
literally said, but if that's not what the bible
actually meant does this mean they will
succeed in plans for say a literal mark of
the beast when scriptures were trying to
 say something else,

Luk_11:52  Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.

Rev_13:17  And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.


will this verse below literally happen, I doubt it,

atleast I say, the hair of women meaning the powers
of women, literally will there be these locusts, I doubt it,
the teeth of lions referring to Christ & his powers, the tails
of scorpions as well like women referring to a form
of ascendancy,

Rev 9:6  And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.
Rev 9:7  And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men.
Rev 9:8  And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions.
Rev 9:9  And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle.
Rev 9:10  And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.
